What We Maintain
Park Maintenance Overview
The Parks Department maintains:
- 124 acres of parks and greenbelts
- 4,971 trees
- 60 garden beds
- Athletic fields and courts
- Irrigation systems and landscaping
Maintenance includes routine inspections, repairs and seasonal upkeep.
Athletic Field Maintenance
- Fields are aerated and fertilized twice yearly
- Baseball fields are groomed daily
- Grass is mowed weekly
- Soccer fields are rotated to reduce wear
Irrigation & Water Use
Our irrigation system supports efficient water use across parks and green spaces, with regular inspections and repairs to maintain performance.
Snow Removal
Drone & Model Aircraft Permits
Recreational drones and model planes are permitted only in Community Park and require a free annual permit. Use is not allowed during times when fields are reserved for permitted activities or have been rented for exclusive use.
